Saudi Arabia to produce more than 50% of the world’s solar energy

According to the Saudi mainstream media “Saudi Gazette” on March 11, Khaled Sharbatly, the managing partner of the desert technology company which is focusing on solar energy, revealed that Saudi Arabia will achieve an international leading position in the field of solar power generation, and will also become one of the largest and most important clean solar energy producers and exporters in the world in the next few years. By 2030, Saudi Arabia will produce more than 50% of the world’s solar energy.

He said that Saudi Arabia’s vision for 2030 is to build 200,000 megawatts of solar power plant projects to promote the development of solar energy. The project is one of the largest solar power projects in the world. In cooperation with the Public Investment Fund, the Ministry of Electric Power announced plans for the construction of the solar power plant and listed 35 sites for the construction of the giant power plant. The 80,000 megawatts of electricity produced by the project will be used in the country, and 120,000 megawatts of electricity will be exported to neighboring countries. These mega projects will help create 100,000 jobs and boost annual output by $12 billion.

Saudi Arabia’s Inclusive National Development Strategy focuses on providing a better future for future generations through clean energy. Given its vast land and solar resources and its international leadership in renewable power technology, Saudi Arabia will lead the way in solar energy production.
